New as of 2023
Reserved and Non-reserved Camping
There are now reservable campsites (inside the gates where you pay admission to enter the showgrounds) that must be obtained online anytime before the show dates, or during the week prior to the show at the farthest East gate near the tractor pull area. There is a flat fee of $100 per site for the week leading up to and including the show.
Click here to be redirected to our campsite reservation partner; Campspot. Follow Campspot’s instructions to find, reserve and pay for your reservable ATC campsite(s).
If there are any questions regarding reservable campsites, please email atccamping@gmail.com
Non-reservable campsites (outside the gates and around parking areas) are still available for $10/night/site on a first-come basis via the camp coordinator at the show grounds.
Note: Marking of these campsites before 9:00 a.m. on the Sunday before the show is NOT allowed and will be removed.
Also Note: You may be asked to pay for your camping when you are marking off your sight. Please be prepared to pay for your camping at this time. If someone doesn’t come to collect at this time, we will be around later in the weekend to collect.
Warning: Due to the recent extremely wet weather, there is more standing water and waterlogged areas in the campground than usual. Use care when choosing your camping sight and take into consideration how heavy your camping unit is, and if you can access the sight. We will not be responsible for damage to your camping unit/vehicle if we need to tow you out. Anyone intentionally digging holes or spinning ties in the mud will be escorted from the property immediately. We need to preserve the campgrounds for future years and respect the other campers.
If there are any questions about non-reservable campsites, please contact Sue Greely at 612-598-1838 or sgreeley@usfamily.net.
After a day of enjoying the tractor pulls, exhibits, and flea market, stay with us for the evening. The Almelund Threshing Company (ATC) offers overnight camping on the showgrounds during the Show.
Choosing and camping in a non-reservable site is not allowed until the Sunday before the show. All sites must be cleaned up and vacated by the Monday after the last day of the show.
Non-reservable campsites are still $10.00 per night per spot. Camping spots are 20 x 40 feet per unit. You must check-in and pay for your stay upon entering the showgrounds. Permits will be issued upon payment. Anyone not displaying a permit will be considered unpaid and asked to pay immediately or leave the grounds.
Cars and trucks are restricted to parking areas, display areas and roadways. Cars and trucks may not be operated within the showgrounds during show hours except as authorized by the ATC Board for ATC operations. Vehicles with campers will be issued a camp parking permit to allow parking near their camper. Permit must match the vehicle license plate. Two permits are allowed per camper.
Quiet time is observed from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Generators must be turned off during those hours. If you require a generator for medical reasons, please inform the camp coordinator and you will be placed in a special area.
Porta-potties, trash receptacles, and water trailers are located throughout the camping areas. There are no sanitary disposal stations or public showers on the showgrounds. Closest dump stations are at Wild River State Park north of Almelund and at Interstate Park across the river south of St Croix Falls. Scooters, dirt bikes and similar vehicles are prohibited from use in the camping areas. Security on the Almelund Threshing showgrounds is provided by licensed officers from the Chisago County Sheriff’s office.
Reserving (roping off) a spot will follow the same rules and has a fee of $10.00 per night per site starting the day it is reserved. If payment is not received in a timely manner, the ATC staff reserves the right to remove all barriers and open up the spot to others.
No camping is allowed within 100 feet 0f any building. No parking is allowed in east or west parking lots. These are safety requirements. If you do not comply, you will be asked and expected to move.
READ & HEED this:
The state of Minnesota is strictly enforcing Minnesota Statute 327.20; subd; 4 (2) which states “Recreational camping vehicles and tents, including attachments, must be separated from each other, and other structures by at least seven (7) feet.”
Anyone found to be in violation of this statute will be asked to move to conform with the statute. Failure to comply may result in the removal of those in violation and their equipment from the show grounds. Don’t put camping privileges for everyone and the Almelund Threshing Company state camping permit in jeopardy.
Please, lets all work together to keep our camping privileges.
NO GLASS CONTAINERS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS INCLUDING THE CAMPSITES.
No camping allowed is in the east and west parking lots. We have plenty of shady spots in the campground area. Check in if you need help!
