ANNUAL TRACTOR CARAVAN
“FREE” Event: August 5, 2018 starts at 9:oo am
The Almelund Threshing Show is proud to welcome new participants to join all of our regulars to our annual Tractor Caravan. The caravan line-up will be at 9:00 am at Anderson & Koch Ford on the west side of freeway in North Branch. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be served. There is plenty of room to unload your tractor and leave your truck and trailer on site. Bus transportation will be provided from the Almelund Threshing Grounds back to Anderson & Koch at the end of the day.
Drivers meeting will be at 9:45 am with departure to follow. Tractors will travel at approximately 8 to 10 mph and the journey will take most of the day. The route is a 32 mile scenic journey stretching through the gorgeous countryside of northern Chisago county and ending at the Almelund Threshing Showgrounds around 4:00 pm.
Proposed Caravan Route Beginning at Anderson & Koch Ford, 5577 St. Croix Trail, North Branch, MN
The Caravan will leave Anderson & Koch Ford heading west to Falcon Avenue. The Caravan will turn north on Flink Avenue to 425th street (Co Rd 64) where it will turn left onto Elmcrest, (CR 65) the group will turn north, proceeding to the first Pit Stop at Fish Lake Beach.
Back on the trail, the group will continue north on Elmcrest (CR 65) where it will turn left on Stark Road (CSAH 10).
The next turn will be a right onto Deerwood Trail, (CR 60), a short drive on Goose Creek Road (CSAH 9) which will lead to Galaxy Avenue.
The caravan will turn right onto Galaxy and proceed for a short time taking the group to the second pit stop at the Pete Lofgren Farm.
Back on the trail again, Co Rd 9 will take us into Harris and onto our 3rd pit stop at Sunrise, MN
From Sunrise the Caravan will continue south and Cross MN 95. The group will continue South on Oasis Road, turning left on CASA 11 (375th Street) and cross MN 95. It will head east on Maple Drive to our 4th pit stop at the Amador Heritage Center. The Center will be open for all to enjoy.
From Almelund, it’s a short drive SE on MN 95 to our destination.

Be sure to attend the Drivers Meeting at the beginning of the Caravan for the latest information.
Once your tractor is at the showgrounds, you may leave it there until the end of the show. There will be rest stops along the way. Mobile outhouses will accompany the caravan. Peterson’s Repair and Towing will be joining us and will provide rescue service for vehicles if there are any breakdowns. No lunch will be provided enroute or on the showgrounds on that date. Bring your own lunch, beverages and sun screen.
