Almelund Threshing Show

Almelund Threshing Show

  August 9, 10 & 11, 2019

The Almelund Threshing Show is Minnesota’s premier outdoor event for classic tractor and old-tyme farming fans.  Vintage equipment is not just on display but actually in use.  Children playground area.  Largest flea market in the area.  Wear good walking shoes.   Food available on site.

Three full days of attractions – including tractor pulls, parades and demonstrations.  It only happens once a year so don’t miss it!   Be close to the action – stay at our campground.

Start out with our tractor parade on Sunday, August 4th.   Bring your tractor to the showgrounds for display and participation in the 1:00 pm daily tractor parade.

Check out this year’s youth restoration tractor – a 1958 Cockshutt 540 and visit with the youth did the work.

The Almelund Threshing Show is organized by an all-volunteer non-profit group governed by a Board of Directors.

General Membership meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month starting in April.  Meetings are usually held in the Information building on the showgrounds.   Enter the showgrounds using the gate near the school house.   In the case of chilly weather, the meeting will be held at the Shafer Town Hall – just a bit east of the showgrounds on Highway 95.  Upcoming meeting dates are: April 10, May 8, June 12, and July 10.

Work days for upkeep of the showgrounds and general building maintenance are every Saturday starting in June.  If you are available to help, we would love to have you join us.  We start about 9:oo am and finish up mid- afternoon.  Lunch is provided.   We provide most tools or you can bring your own.
