4. Camping Policy Almelund Threshing Company (ATC) has adopted a camping policy for spectators and exhibitors who wish to camp on ATC property during the annual threshing show (the second weekend of August every year). All spectators and exhibitors, eighteen years and older who are not members or workers of the ATC, will be charged the standard rate per our fee schedule for primitive camping. ATC will limit the space of camping to 25 by 40 feet per camping unit. This charge will be for each night the camping unit is on the grounds from Caravan Day to the end of the show. There is no set up of camping units before Caravan Day, the Sunday before the show. Mowing is done up to then and sometimes after that day. We need to have the grounds clear for that work. The roping off of spaces will follow the same rules and will be charged the same. If you are roping off for family or friend you will be paying for that space at that time. There will not be any camping within a 100 foot radius of any ATC buildings. If your flags are moved or you are asked to move you are in violation. When you enter the show grounds to camp, you must check in and pay for your stay and get a camping permit to display on your camping unit. Anyone not displaying a permit will be considered unpaid. ATC reserves the right to alter or amend this policy at their sole discretion.
5. Flea Market Policy Almelund Threshing Company has ample room in the flea market and tries to accommodate the vendors that pay for a vending spot by making sure that they will have a fair chance to display and sell their items. When an exhibitor has 10% or more of their display that is actively advertising the items for sale, they will have to move to the flea market and pay for the vending space with the rest of the vendors. Exhibitors not wanting to comply with this policy will be asked to leave or stop selling and just display their items.
6. Vehicle Movement policy Motorcycles, dirt bikes and similar vehicles are prohibited from use on the company grounds. Cars and trucks are restricted to parking areas, display areas and roadways. Tractors are restricted to the tractor display area, tractor pull ares, loading dock and the parade route during the parade. Tractors used as people movers and for performance of tasks relating to the show operations are authorized for movement by the Board of Directors. Three and four wheelers, ATV, golf carts and similar vehicles may be used by threshing company personnel in the performance of their duties in support of the show. These vehicles may also be used for the transportation of handicapped when issued a special permit by the administration. Permits will only be issued to those with a demonstrated need. Speed limit for all vehicles on threshing company grounds is 5 MPH or the speed of a fast walk. This policy is in effect to insure the safety of all people and to prevent vehicular accidents and damage to property. Violation of this policy will be cause for removal from the grounds.
7.Personal Motorized Vehicles No scooters or dirt bikes will be allowed on the grounds. Due to the increasing number of these vehicles being used, we will be requiring these vehicles to be registered. Proof of insurance will be required at the time of registration: you will then receive a numbered permit to hang on your vehicle allowing you to use it during the show. All of these vehicles MUST have a permit and insurance proof in order to use them on the grounds. This is being implemented for the safety of you and all other patrons.
