Proposed Caravan Route

Beginning at Frontier Ag & Turf 2446 state road 35, Osceola, WI

The caravan will leave Frontier Ag, making a RH turn onto state road 35,

proceeding to 240th street, where it will turn south. From here the

caravaners will travel through a few miles of beautiful Wisconsin farmland.

The Caravan will make a RH turn onto Cherry Drive and soon make a

slight right turn onto 50th Avenue. The group will proceed on 50th Ave.

until it reaches State Road 35.

Next the caravan will turn right on to 35 for a short while till they reach

Crystal Ball farm on the left side of WI 35 for the first pit stop.

Troy from Crystal Ball Farms will offer everyone a tour of his

organic dairy operation, and an ice cream treat, made right on location.

This stop offers generously shaded areas for maximum relaxation.

We plan to spend extra time at this stop and take advantage of

        Troy's hospitality.

On the road again, the caravan will move north on WI 35 and down

a steep hill (make sure your brakes are in good shape) entering

Osceola where it will turn left onto HWY 243. The caravan will cross

the St. Croix River and participants will get a gorgeous view of this

Wild River while crossing into Minnesota.

Immediately upon crossing the river, smaller vehicles will have the

option of making a loop through the National Park Service's

Osceola Landing Park, (traffic permitting) Larger units will stop

along MN 243 till everyone can get back in line to move forward.

After traveling a short distance, the Caravan will make a RH turn

onto MN 95, proceeding north to Chisago County 26 where it

          will turn left.

The next turn will be right (north) onto Chisago County 21, crossing

US 8 to our second pit stop on Redwing Ave. in the city of Shafer.

Shaded parking awaits and we are permitted to double park at this

           welcoming location.

After a brief rest, the caravan will move north to Chisago County 21

where it will turn left onto Chisago County 20. Then it's a RH turn

onto Chisago County 12 which will take the cacavaners to Almelund

and a pit stop at the Amador Heritage Center. The  Center

will be open for all to enjoy. The Heritage Center is well stocked with

hundreds of exhibits and artifacts from local life over the past 100

years or so.  Be sure to visit their collection of restored log buildings.

From Almelund, it's a short drive SE on MN 95 to our destination.

           NOTE

This is the proposed route and subject to change due to weather

or road conditions. Be sure to attend the drivers meeting at the

beginning of the caravan for the latest information.
