Come join us for a relaxing ride, on a scenic 32-mile route through rural MN.
Leaving from: Anderson & Koch Ford, 5577St. Croix Trail, North Branch, MN
Schedule: 9:00 am Complimentary Coffee & Donuts
9:45 am Drivers Meeting (Attendance Required)
10:00 am Departure
Pit stop, Fish Lake Beach
Pit stop, Pete Lofgren Farm
Pit stop, Sunrise MN
Pit stop, Almelund Heritage Center
Arrive, Almelund Showgrounds approx. 4.00 pm
Once your tractor is at the Almelund Showgrounds, you can leave it there for the show.
Bus transportation back to Anderson & Koch will be provided.
Peterson’s Repair and Towing, Lindstrom, MN will provide rescue service if there are any breakdowns.
Everything in this fun filled day is at no cost to you.
Caravan speed will be 8-10 MPH, mobile outhouses will be provided.
Beginning at Anderson & Koch Ford, 5577 St. Croix Trail, North Branch, MN
The Caravan will leave Anderson & Koch Ford heading west to Falcon Avenue. The Caravan will turn north on Flink Avenue to 425th street (Co Rd 64) where it will turn left onto Elmcrest, (CR 65) the group will turn north, proceeding to the first Pit Stop at Fish Lake Beach.
Back on the trail, the group will continue north on Elmcrest (CR 65) where it will turn left on Stark Road (CSAH 10).
The next turn will be a right onto Deerwood Trail, (CR 60), a short drive on Goose Creek Road (CSAH 9) which will lead to Galaxy Avenue.
The caravan will turn right onto Galaxy and proceed for a short time taking the group to the second pit stop at the Pete Lofgren Farm.
Back on the trail again, Co Rd 9 will take us into Harris and onto our 3rd pit stop at Sunrise, MN
From Sunrise the Caravan will continue south and Cross MN 95. The group will continue
South on Oasis Road, turning left on CASA 11 (375th Street) and cross MN 95. It will head east on Maple Drive to our 4th pit stop at the Amador Heritage Center The Center will be open for all to enjoy.
The Heritage Center is well stocked with hundreds of exhibits and artifacts from local life over the past 100 years or so. Be sure to visit their collection of restored log buildings.
From Almelund, it’s a short drive SE on MN 95 to our destination.
This is the proposed route and is subject to change due to weather or road conditions.
Be sure to attend the Drivers Meeting at the beginning of the Caravan for the latest information.
There will be no picnic lunch served at the showgrounds after the Caravan

Show admission $10.00/day or $15 for all 3 days (kids under age 12 free)
Camping Fees $10/per unit per night

Afghan & Queen Size Quilt Raffle, American Flag display, Antique Radios, Carvings of Miniature Farm Implement & Wooden Toys, Civil War Barracks depiction, Law Library & Typewriter Display, Old Time Photographer, Post Card Sales, Showcase “Collections” display, Potato planter collection, Story Telling, and “Favorite Grandmothers Table Setting” contest!
This is how we would like to see everyone park in our lots———
Come early for pancakes served by the Almelund Firemen. Join us at 9:00 a.m. in the Entertainment Building for an old fashion non-denominational worship service. Sing some songs your grandparents will remember lead by Jon Ekstrom. Accordion/polka music by the King’s Men from Duluth.
Don’t miss out on one of the biggest flea markets in the area! Featuring antiques, tractor parts,original art, you name it… and a little bit of everything else, the whole family will find great deals here! Scope it out by riding around in one of the people movers (hay wagons pulled by tractors).
Children love the Almelund Threshing Festival! In addition to seeing big steam threshing machines and lots and lots of tractors, kids can enjoy a newly redone playground with sandbox, ring toss game, the “Pedal Tractor Pull” (Sat. only), and the “Sawdust Pit Coin Toss” (Sun. only)
See the original Chisago County log buildings – a family home, a duplex, a dairy barn and a smoke house – which were moved to the Almelund Threshing Show grounds in order to honor their history. Children and adults alike will delight in this visit to the 1800s.
Don’t miss the homestead crafts being presented in the Pioneer Building. Demonstrations include knitting, spinning wool and bunny fur, butter churning, rug making, sock knitting, and more!
We know you love to see the old-tyme farming displays and demonstrations. But at night it’s time for even more fun! Listen to a great band, visit with friends, or get out on the dance floor! Join the crowd in the Entertainment Bldg where you’ll find the Almelund Lions Beer Wagon that opens every morning at 8:00 a.m. except Sunday and serves until close.

Sunday (Aug 13th): 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Martha with Creature Encounters (animal show great for kids) Noon to 1:00 pm – Lake Country Cloggers AND by the Pioneer Bldg Silo from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Mystery Mountain Boys
For those who need a bit of sit-down time in the afternoon, join us for BINGO from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the Entertainment Bldg hosted by the Taylors Falls Lions.
The Almelund Threshing Show features two big raffles – try your luck at winning a Farmall 340 Tractor or a Queen-size Quilt. You can see the tractor by the West Ticket gate and the Quilt is on display in the Pioneer Bldg. Tickets are available at both locations. The tractor is in peak running condition thanks to the Youth Restoration Program under the guidance of Bruce Nelson and Al Deiss at Rosewood Restoration.
